كشف مؤشر دولي صدر حديثا، قائمة أفضل شعوب العالم من حيث الحالة الصحية، واستطاعت الدول الأوروبية أن تهيمن بشكل لافت على الصدارة.
وبحسب المؤشر الذي أعدته مؤسسة بلومبرغ، وعرضته مجلة "لانست" الطبية، فإن الإسبان يحظون بأفضل صحة في العالم، ويليهم الإيطاليون في المرتبة الثانية ثم الآيسلنديون في المركز الثالث.
واعتمد البحث على مؤشرات دقيقة مثل أمد الحياة وسط الشعب، فضلا عن معايير صحية أخرى مثل السمنة والتدخين والبيئة والاستفادة من الماء النظيف.
وقام المؤشر بمقارنة 169 دولة في العالم، وأحدثت الولايات المتحدة مفاجأة في التصنيف بالنظر إلى حلولها في المرتبة الخامسة والثلاثين بخلاف الكثير من الدول المتقدمة، ويكمن السبب في السمنة بحسب خبراء.
في غضون ذلك، كان الشعب البحريني الأول عربيا في القائمة من خلال حلوله في المركز السادس والثلاثين عالميا.
وجاءت قطر بعد البحرين في المرتبة 37 عالميا، ثم لبنان (39)، والإمارات العربية المتحدة (46)، وعمان في المرتبة (49)، حسب مؤشر بلومبرغ.
في غضون ذلك، جاء اليابانيون وهم من أطول الشعوب عمرا، في المرتبة الرابعة، والسويسريون (5) والسويديون (6) والأستراليون (7) والسنغافوريون (8) والنرويج (9)، وجاءت إسرائيل في المركز العاشر حسب التصنيف.
ويرجح الخبراء أن يكون النظام الغذائي المتوسطي من العوامل الأساسية في الحالة الصحية الجيدة للإسبان والإيطاليين، ويعتمد هذا النمط بالأساس على الفواكه والخضر إلى جانب مكسرات ودهون طبيعية مثل زيت الزيتون والمكسرات والأفوكادو.
ويستفيد الإسبان الذين حلوا في الصدارة من نظام صحي مجاني أشاد به المرصد الأوروبي لأنظمة وسياسات الصحة بالنظر إلى كونه متاحا للجميع.
