مستوحى من حرب النجوم .. علماء يبتكرون جلدا قادرا على الإحساس
طوّر باحثون في سنغافورة "جلدا إلكترونيا" قادرا على إعادة الإحساس باللمس، في ابتكار يأملون من خلاله أن يتيح لأصحاب الأطراف الاصطناعية التعرّف على الأشياء والإحساس بملمسها، بل وحتى الشعور بالحرارة والألم.
ويتكوّن الابتكار الجديد الذي أطلق عليه اسم "إيسز" مما يصل إلى 100 حساس صغير، في مساحة تبلغ نحو سنتيمتر مربع واحد.
ويقول الباحثون في جامعة سنغافورة الوطنية، إن هذا الجهاز يمكنه معالجة البيانات بسرعة تفوق سرعة الجهاز العصبي البشري، كما أنه قادر على التعرف على ما بين 20 و30 ملمسا مختلفا وقراءة الحروف بلغة بريل للمكفوفين بدقة تتجاوز 90 في المئة.
ونقلت "رويترز" عن بنجامين تي، رئيس فريق الباحثين في الجامعة قوله: "يحتاج البشر لتمرير أيديهم للشعور بالملمس، لكن في هذه الحالة يمكن للجلد بلمسة واحدة رصد الملمس بدرجات خشونة مختلفة. يعتمد الجهاز على لوغاريتمات الذكاء الاصطناعي والتي تمكّنه من التعلّم بسرعة".
وأوضح بنجامين أن فكرة الجهاز مستوحاة من مشهد في أحد أفلام ثلاثية "حرب النجوم"، فقد فيه لوك سكاي ووكر أحد شخصيات الفيلم ذراعه اليمنى، وتم استبدالها بذراع آلية بدا أنها قادرة على استعادة حاسة اللمس.
وتابع قائلا "إن هذه التكنولوجيا مازالت في مرحلة الاختبار لكنها حازت اهتماما هائلا خاصة من مجتمع الطب".
ومن الابتكارات التي طوّرها فريق بنجامين وحصل على براءات اختراع لها، جلد شفاف يمكنه أن يندمل مرة أخرى، وكذلك نسيج باعث للضوء للأجهزة الإلكترونية القابلة للارتداء.
