تسجيل أعلى حرارة لشهر سبتمبر على الإطلاق في 2020
أعلنت الوكالة الأوروبية لمراقبة الغلاف الجوي "كوبرنيكوس"، أن سبتمبر 2020 كان الشهر الأعلى حرارة الذي يسجل في العالم لمثل هذا الشهر، مشيرة إلى إمكانية أن تحطم 2020 ككل الرقم القياسي كالسنة الأكثر حرارة.
وسجل خلال فترة الاثني عشر شهرا الممتدة من أكتوبر 2019 إلى سبتمبر 2020، معدل حرارة أعلى بـ1,28 درجة مئوية مما كانت عليه الحرارة خلال العصر ما قبل الصناعي.
وفيما تُعتبَر السنوات الخمس الأخيرة الأعلى حرارة، يشير المعدل المسجل هذه السنة إلى خطر اقتراب كوكب الأرض من السقف الذي حدده اتفاق باريس، وفق ما ذكرت وكالة فرانس برس.
وتعهدت نحو 200 دولة وقعت هذا الاتفاق عام 2015، بخفض انبعاثاتها من غازات الدفيئة بهدف احتواء الاحتباس الحراري، وإبقائه تحت سقف 1,5 درجات، وفي أسوأ الأحوال تحت سقف الدرجتين، للحد من الآثار شديدة الضرر للعواصف والجفاف وموجات الحر التي بدأت تسجّل.
وأشارت "كوبرنيكوس" في تقريرها المناخي الشهري، إلى أن درجة حرارة الكوكب ارتفعت درجة واحدة، وهي تزيد بمعدل 0,2 درجة كل عشر سنوات منذ سبعينيات القرن العشرين.
ومن المتوقع ألا يتغير هذا الاتجاه في 2020، إذ أن أشهر يناير ومايو ويونيو، سجلت بالفعل أعلى معدلات حرارة بالمقارنة مع الأشهر المماثلة في السنوات الماضية.
وأوضح تقرير الوكالة أن سبتمبر 2020 سجل 0,05 درجات أكثر من سبتمبر 2019، الذي كان حتى الآن الأعلى حرارة لمثل هذا الشهر"، أي 0,63 درجة فوق معدل فترة 1981-2020.
