تم ترشيح مدينة مراكش لجوائز السفر العالمية، في فئة "الوجهة السياحية الرائدة في العالم لسنة 2020"، وذلك على الرغم من الفترة العصيبة التي عاشها القطاع السياحي بالمدينة منذ بداية الجائحة ولا يزال يعيشها الى حدود الساعة.
وتمنح هذه الجائزة لأفضل وجهة في العالم بين المدن السياحية، بناء على مجموعة من المعايير التي تحدد تنقيط المدن وتسمح بتصنيفها.
ومن المنتظر الإعلان عن الفائزين يوم 27 نونبر المقبل، اذ سيتم منح العديد من فئات الجوائز، من ضمنها الفنادق، سياحة الرحلات البحرية، النقل الجوي، وغيرها.
