وأوضحت الجمعية، في بيان توصلت به الجريدة، أن المهنيين أصبحوا مضطرين إلى إنزال السياح والمواطنين بعيدا عن المطار، الأمر الذي يسيء إلى المدينة ويضعف من تنافسيتها السياحية ويخلق مشاكل عديدة لدى الزوار.
وقد عبرت الجمعية رفضها القاطع للإجراء غير المعقول وطالبت المكتب الوطني للمطارات بالتدخل العاجل لإلغاء القرار وتخصيص فضاء خاص بالنقل السياحي في موقف المطارات يستجيب لحجم تحديات الجودة والرقي المطلوبة من زبناء القطاع وزوار المملكة.
