السعودية تحسم السباق نحو استضافة مونديال 2034


حسمت السعودية استضافة كأس العالم 2034 بعدما باتت رسميا، المرشحة الوحيدة لاستضافة مونديال 2034، للمرة الأولى في تاريخها، كما اعلن الاتحاد الدولي للعبة (فيفا) الثلاثاء، وبالتالي من المتوقع ان تُمنح رسميا هذا الشرف اواخر العام 2024 في حال تلبية جميع المعايير الفنية.

وقال الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم في بيان « كما هو منصوص عليه في اللوائح التي صادق عليها مجلس فيفا، ستطلق إدارة الاتحاد الدولي عملية الترشح لاستضافة نسختي 2030 و2034 من بطولة كأس العالم فضلاً عن عملية تقييم معمق لملفات الترشح، بحيث يتوقّع إعلان الدولة/الدول المستضيفة خلال مؤتمر فيفا المتوقع تنظيمه في الربع الاخير من عام 2024 ».

وجاء إعلان فيفا بعد ساعات من أعلان أستراليا انسحابها من السباق على احتضان نسخة 2034، في اليوم الأخير من المهلة المحدّدة لإعلان نوايا الترشّح لتُخلي الساحة تماما للسعودية.
