أصدرت السلطات الإسبانية قرارا يقضي بتمديد إغلاق المعابر الحدودية مع المغرب لشهر إضافي في المدينتين المحتلتين سبتة ومليلية، وعللت الداخلية الإسبانية قرارها بالظرفية الصحية المتعلقة بانتشار وباء كوفيد19.
ويأتي القرار على بعد ثلاثة أيام من انعقاد اجتماع بين البلدين، يجمع وزير الشؤون الخارجية والتعاون الإفريقي والمغاربة المقيمين بالخارج ناصر بوريطة، بنظيره الإسباني « خوسي مانويل ألباريس ».
وقد شكل القرار صدمة في صفوف المغاربة العالقين في المدينتين المحتلتين، خاصة وأنهم كانوا يمنون النفس بفتح الحدود والعودة إلى الديار، إثر الانفراج الدبلوماسي الذي تشهده العلاقة بين البلدين، منذ اتخاذ إسبانيا قرارا بدعم المقترح المغربي للحكم الذاتي في الصحراء المغربيية.
