وحسب ذات المصدر، فقد توصل عناصر الدائرة السابعة باخبارية تفيد تواجد المشتبه فيه بحي ثالوجث، حيث تم مداهمة "البراكة" العشوائية التي يقطن فيها، ليتم توقيفه وضبط أسلحة بيضاء بحوزته.
وكان عديد الضحايا قد تقدموا بشكايات ضد الموقوف، تتعلق بتنفيذه لعمليات سرقة تحت التهديد بالسلاح الأبيض بأحياء الداوديات، إضافة لشكايات أخرى تتعلق بالضرب والجرح.
