ترشيح المغرب لرئاسة المنظمة العالمية للمدن والحكومات المحلية المتحدة

ذكر بلاغ للجمعية المغربية لرؤساء مجالس الجماعات أن المكتب التنفيذي لمنظمة المدن والحكومات المحلية المتحدة الإفريقية قد دعم ترشيح محمد بودرا رئيس المجلس الجماعي لمدينة الحسيمة لتمثيل أفريقيا عبر رئاسة المنظمة العالمية للمدن والحكومات المحلية المتحدة، وذلك خلال اجتماعاته التمهيدية المنعقدة في إطار دورته ال22 ، يومي 9 و10 نونبر الجاري بدوربان، بجنوب إفريقيا.
وأضاف البلاغ أن اختيار المغرب لتمثيل إفريقيا، من خلال الجمعية المغربية لرؤساء مجالس الجماعات، يشكل اعترافا بمجهوداته في مجالات الديمقراطية المحلية واللامركزية والعدالة المجالية والاجتماعية، وكذا النهوض بقيم التضامن في مجال التنمية المستدامة والتعاون جنوب- جنوب وشمال- جنوب ومكافحة آثار التغيرات المناخية، مذكرا بأن المغرب الذي يحتضن مقر منظمة المدن والحكومات المحلية المتحدة الإفريقية، كان قد نظم تحت الرعاية السامية لصاحب الجلالة الملك محمد السادس الدورة الثامنة لقمة (أفريسيتي) في نونبر 2018 .
وأضاف البلاغ، أن هذا الحدث الدولي الهام الذي شهد مشاركة أزيد من 8000 مسؤول محلي من مختلف البلدان الأفريقية وباقي دول العالم، قد عرف نجاحا كبيرا وأعطى صورة إيجابية جديدة لأفريقيا واثقة في نفسها ومتطلعة لمستقبل مشرق.
وتجدر الإشارة إلى أنه يتنافس أيضا على رئاسة المنظمة العالمية للمدن والحكومات المحلية المتحدة برسم الفترة 2019 – 2022 ، عمداء كل من مدينة كازان (روسيا) وبرشلونة (اسبانيا) ولشبونة (البرتغال) .
