أصدرت شركة بريطانية متخصصة في أمن الهواتف الذكية، قائمة من "التطبيقات الخبيثة" التي تستنزف جيوب المستخدمين من دون علمهم.
وأضافت شركة "وانديرا" أن هذه التطبيقات، وعددها 17، لم تعد موجودة في متجر أبل، لكن المشكلة عند أولئك الذين مازالوا يحتفظون بها على هواتفهم.
والتطبيقات المشمولة في التحذير هي:
RTO Vehicle Information, EMI Calculator and Loan Planner, File Manager – Documents, Smart GPS Speedometer, CrickOne – Live Cricket Scores, Daily Fitness – Yoga Poses, FM Radio – Internet Radio, My Train Info – IRCTC and PNR, Around Me Place Finder, Easy Contacts Backup Manager, Ramadan Times 2019, Restaurant Finder – Find Food, BMI Calculator – BMR Calc, Dual Accounts, Video Editor – Mute Video, Islamic World – Qibla and Smart Video Compressor.
وأوضحت الشركة، التي تأسست عام 2012 وتتخذ من لندن مقرا لها، أن هذه الوسائل تستخدم تقنية "كليكلر تروجان" للتجسس والاختراق، التي تعمل على النفاذ إلى حسابات مستخدمي "آيفون" وخلق إقبال وهمي على الإعلانات، وهي وسيلة تحتال بها وكالات الإعلانات على الناشرين، وتحسب عادة بالنقرة الواحدة.
وتعمل هذه التطبيقات على التلاعب بإعدادات الهواتف، وإجبارها على الاشتراك بخدمات باهظة الثمن، وفتح مواقع إنترنت في خلفية الهواتف الذكية وتحميل إعلانات عليها، دون علم المستخدم.
ويصل سوق هذه البرمجيات الخبيثة إلى ما يقرب من 800 مليون دولار سنويا.
