ما زالت مدينة ايت اورير تعرف استفحالا متواصلا لظاهرة الأسلاك الكهربائية العارية، التي تبرز في عدد من الشوارع بشكل عشوائي، مشكلة تهديدا مباشرا لحياة الساكنة.
غالبية هذه الأسلاك تبرز من أعمدة الإنارة أو من خزانات الكهرباء، ومتواجدة في جل الأحياء وعلى تماسّ مباشر مع تحركات الساكنة.
