أكدت مصادر جيدة الاطلاع، ان دراسة تقنية منجزة من قبل لجنة رفيعة المستوى بجهة مراكش أسفي، كشفت صعوبة اٍنجاز سد اوريكا.

وأرجعت المصادر الاسباب اٍلى عدم ملائمة جميع المواقع التي تمت دراستها وزيارتها من قبل لانجاز السد، وكذا ارتفاع نسبة الملوحة في الجبال، اٍضافة الى ضعف البنية التحتية التي قد تتضرر بسبب الكم الهائل من المياه التي سيتم تجميعها، وكذا تخوف الجهات المسؤولة من القضاء على المنتجعات السياحية المتوجدة على وادي اوريكا.

وأضافت المصادر، أن اللجنة المكلفة بإعداد الدراسات الاولية، تواصل عملية البحث عن مواقع اخرى قد تكون مناسبة لانجاز سد بها، بهدف حماية حوض اوريكا من الفيضانات.

وكانت السلطات الاقليمية بالحوز، قد اقترحت اٍنجاز سد بالمنطقة بتنسيق مع عدد من المتدخلين والشركاء لمواجهة آثار الفيضانات وتوفير الماء الشروب وتنمية قطاع الفلاحة.
