توفي صباح يومه الجمعة 23 غشت 2019، قائد القيادة الشمالية بآيت اورير بإقليم الحون، وذلك بعد معاناة طويل مع المرض.
هذا، ولم تمضي ساعات قليلة على تنقيل يسري الصديق قائد القيادة الشمالية بآيت أورير نحو عمالة مكناس في اطار الحركة الانتقالية التي أعلنت عنها وزارة الداخلية مؤخرا بين صفوف رجال السلطة، حتى سلم يسري الصديق الروح لبارئها، وذلك وسط صدمة العائلة والأصدقاء.
وكان يسري الصديق من بين أحسن رجال السلطة الذين تعاقبوا على مدينة آيت أورير، حيث كان حريصا على تطبيق القانون في حق الكل، مع السهر على خدمة المواطن رغم العراقيل والمشاكل التي تعيش على وقعها المنطقة.
