تسبب مصباح في حريق مهول داخل منزل بالحي الجديد (دوار الظلام) التابع لمقاطعة سيدي يوسف بنعلي مراكش، حيث اندلعت النيران بشكل سريع في مختلف أرجاء المنزل مما تسبب في خسائر مادية فادحة.
وحسب مصادرنا، فإن هذا الحريق لحسن الحظ لم يتسبب في أية خسائر في الأرواح، وذلك لكون أصحاب المنزل كانوا يقضون عطلتهم خارج مدينة مراكش، ولم ينتبهوا لمصباح إحدى الغرف الذي بقي مضيئا، إلى أن اندلعت النيران في أحد الأجزاء المكونة له، ليسقط أرضا فوق أثاث الغرفة مما ساهم في انتشار ألسنة اللهب بسكل سريع، وخاصة أمام درجات الحرارة المرتفعة التي تشهدها مدينة مراكش منذ حلول فصل الصيف.
