واشنطن تؤجل الحظر على هواوي
أعلن وزير الاقتصاد الأميركي ويلبر روس، الاثنين، تأجيل سريان الحظر على شراء عملاق الاتصالات الصيني "هواوي" للتكنولوجيا الأميركية، لمدة 90 يوما.
وقال الوزير في تصريح لشبكة "فوكس بزنس" الأميركية: "أمام شركات الاتصالات الأميركية 90 يوما، فبعض الشركات الريفية معتمدة على هواوي. سنمنحها فترة أطول للتعود على وقف التعامل" مع الشركة الصينية.
والحظر جزء من جهود شاملة تقوم بها إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترامب لتقييد نشاطات "هواوي"، التي يقول مسؤولون إنها ترتبط بعلاقات مع الاستخبارات الصينية مما يجعلها تشكل تهديدا أمنيا للولايات المتحدة.
وأعلن روس أنه تجري إضافة 46 شركة أخرى تابعة لـ"هواوي" إلى قائمة الشركات المحظورة، مما يعني أن أكثر من 100 شركة تابعة تخضع الآن للقيود.
إلا أن وزارة الاقتصاد مددت رخصة مؤقتة للشركات الأميركية للعمل مع شركة "هواوي" وفروعها لمدة 90 يوما أخرى.
وقال روس: "من الناحية الفنية تقول هواوي إنها شركة خاصة، لكن بموجب القانون الصيني فإنه حتى الشركات الخاصة يجب أن تتعاون مع الجيش ومع وكالات الاستخبارات الصينية، كما يتوجب عليها عدم الكشف بأنها تقوم بذلك".
و"هواوي" ثاني أكبر شركة لبيع الهواتف الذكية في العالم، وتعتبر رائدة عالميا في معدات الجيل الخامس، لكن يعيقها الحصول على الأجهزة وبرامج الكمبيوتر الرئيسية ومن بينها رقائق الهواتف الذكية.
وقال ترامب الأحد: "لا نريد أن نعمل مع هواوي لأسباب تتعلق بالأمن القومي".
