نقلة ثورية بعالم التسوق.. أمازون تبني مطارها الخاص
انطلقت المرحلة الأولى من عملية بناء مطار شركة أمازون الجديد قرب مدينة سينسيناتي الأميركية الثلاثاء، مع زيارة "مفاجئة" لصاحب الشركة جيف بيزوس خلال حفل الافتتاح.
وأعلن الملياردير الأميركي بيزوس انطلاق مشروع مطار أمازون الجديد، الذي سيكلف 1.5 مليار دولار، قرب مدينة سينسيناتي بولاية أوهايو شرقي الولايات المتحدة.
ووفقا لموقع "بزنس إنسايدر"، فاجأ بيزوسالعاملين في الشركة عندما حضر لافتتاح المشروع الضخم، قبل أن يقوم بوضع أول كتلة ترابية في قاعدة المشروع، ويلقي كلمة أمام الموظفين.
ووقعت أمازون على عقد لاستئجار قطعة أرض تبلغ مساحتها 3.6 مليون متر مربع، لمدة 50 عاما، وهي جزء من مطار سينسيناتي الدولي.
وتهدف أمازون بالمطار الجديد إلى السيطرة بشكل أكبر على عمليات الشحن لبضائعها حول العالم، وتقليل الاعتماد على شركات النقل مثل "فيديكس" و"يو بي أس".
وقال بيزوس: "هذا المركز الجديد سيتيح لنا توصيل البضائع للزبائن بشكل أسرع، وهذا أمر هائل.. سنحول عملية خدمة أمازون السريعة من يومين إلى يوم واحد فقط للتوصيل، وهذا المطار سيكون جزءا كبيرا من هذه الخطة".
ويتوقع أن يفتتح المطار الجديد في 2021، ومن المتوقع أن يوفر ألفي وظيفة جديدة.
