لا تزال الأعمال الفنية للفنانة المراكشية الراحلة ليلى العلوي محفورة في سجلات عالم التصوير الفوتوغرافي، وقد تم تصدير سلسلتها "المغاربة Les Marocains" إلى كوبا، من أجل معرض تنظمه جمعية "La Galerie continue" ومؤسسة ليلى العلوي.
ويعتبر هذا المعرض تكريما للفنانة الفوتوغرافية ليلى علوي، ضحية تفجير واغادوغو سنة 2016، وهو حدث فني ذو أهمية كبيرة، لا سيما لتعزيز قيم السلام والحرية.
سلسلة "المغاربة" سعت من خلالها ليلى العلوي إلى عرض الفن المغربي من خلال صور تعكس التنوع الثقافي لمختلف مناطق المغرب، وتوضح موهبتها وطريقة نظرتها إلى العالم التزامها الإنساني وشعورها بالآخرين، وقد كانت الفنانة تجسيدًا جميلًا لهذا التنوع الثقافي من خلال إعجابها بالحوار الفني بين الثقافات.
