حتى الشموع أصبحت قاتلة .. دراسة تكشف المستور


كشفت دراسة جديدة عن مخاطر للشموع لم تكن في الحسبان، على الرغم مما تضفيه على المكان من أجواء رومانسية ورائح طيبة في كثير من البيوت حول العالم.

وتوصلت دراسة حديثة، أجريت في الولايات المتحدة إلى أن الشموع تهدد البيئة وصحة الناس، وفق ما ذكر موقع "ثانك يور بادي".

وقال الباحثون، الذين أشرفوا على الدراسة في جامعة سان دييغو بولاية كاليفورنيا، إن الشموع المعطرة تلوث الهواء في المنازل، مما يزيد من مخاطرها على الصحة. 

وأجرى الباحثون دراسة حول العوامل المختلفة التي تساهم في تلويث الهواء داخل المنزل، فوجدوا أن دخان يلوث الهواء ويخلق بيئة غير صحية.

كما توصلوا إلى أن الشموع المعطرة من بين العوامل المؤثرة على البيئة، ووصفوها بـ"المصدر الضخم لتلوث الهواء داخل المنازل".

ونقل المصدر عن أحد مؤلفي الدراسة قوله: "الشموع المعطرة مصدر ضخم لتلوث الهواء.. هذه الشموع تنفث الكثير من المواد الكيميائية الخطرة"، مضيفا: "معظم الشموع المعطرة مصنوعة من مواد كميائية خطيرة مثل البارافين والبنزين والتولوين".

وتابع: "هذا النوع من المواد الكيميائية غالبا ما يسبب أضرارا للدماغ والرئة والجهاز العصبي".

وخلصت الدراسة أيضا إلى أن حرق البخور وقلي الطعام في الزيت إلى جانب رش منتجات التنظيف ومعطرات الجو تسهم في زيادة عدد الجسيمات الدقيقة الضارة في الهواء.
