وتسعى شركة السيارات الأميركية "فورد" إلى تطبيق الخاصية ذاتها التي تستعملها في سياراتها لتنبيهالسائقين إذا تخطوا المسارات المحددة لهم، في السرير الجديد لمواجهة "النائمين الأنانيين".
ومن خلال هذه التقنية، تقوم أجهزة استشعار للضغط بتتبع حركة النائم، ومعرفة ما إذا كان قد انتقل من جانبه إلى الجانب الآخر من السرير.
وما أن يتحرك النائم بعيدا عن مكانه، حتى يقوم السرير بإعادته بهدوء إلى الجزء المخصص به، حسب ما ذكر موقع "ديلي ميل" البريطاني.
وقال مدير الاتصالات التسويقية في أوروبا لشركة فورد، أنطوني آيرسون: "تقنية المساعدة في الحفاظ على المسارات في سياراتنا تجعل من القيادة أسهل وأكثر راحة"، لافتا إلى أن الشركة أرادت تطبيق هذه التقنية في السرير الجديد لتسهيل حياة الناس.
يشار إلى ان السرير الذكي لا يزال عبارة عن نموذج مبدئي، ومن غير الواضح ما إذا كانت الشركة ستنتجه على نطاق واسع وتطرحه للبيع.
