كشف تقرير حديث أن غوغل تدفع المليارات من الدولارات لشركة أبل ليبقى محركها للبحث كمحرك افتراضي أول في متصفح "سافاري".
ووفقا لتصريحات المحلل رود هول، من مؤسسة "غولدمان ساكس" المصرفية، والتي استند عليها موقع "بيزنس إنسايدر" في تقريره الأخير، فإن غوغل ستدفع هذا العام 9 مليارات دولار إلى أبل، على أن يزيد المبلغ في 2019 إلى 12 مليار دولار.
وبحسب تصريحات هول فإن هذه المليارات التي تدفعها غوغل ليست سوى جزء بسيط مما تجنيه غوغل من محركها للبحث على الإنترنت.
ويؤكد تقرير "بيزنس إنسايدر" أن المتصفح الافتراضي لأجهزة أبل "سافاري" مسؤول وبشكل كبير عن حجم العمليات التي تجرى على محرك غوغل للبحث.
وتتضارب الأرقام فيما يتعلق بما تدفعه غوغل لإبقاء محركها للبحث على الأجهزة التي تنتجها أبل، خصوصا أن كلا الطرفين لا يعلنان عنها بشكل رسمي.
وكان تقرير مماثل ظهر في عام 2017 أشار إلى أن غوغل دفعت في ذلك العام 3 مليارات دولار.
أما الرقم الوحيد الثابت كان في عام 2014 ضمن مستندات إحدى القضايا، والتي أكدت أن غوغل دفعت حينها بالفعل مليار دولار إلى أبل لهذا الغرض.
