أظهر تسجيل مصور لحظة انفجار نيزك عند دخوله إلى الغلاف الجوي للأرض، وذلك في لقطات نادرة تمكن من التقطاها ديريك روبسون، البالغ من العمر 58 عاما.
ويوضح التسجيل انفجار النيزك، الذي يكون عادة مثل كرة لهب، وهو يتجه نحو الأرض، ثم تفككه مصحوبا بضوء أبيض، وفق ما ذكرت صحيفة "ديلي ميل" البريطانية، الجمعة.
وقال روبسون، الذي تمكن من تسجيل ما حدث من مدينة بريستول، جنوب غربي بريطانيا، إن "هذه اللحظة تحدث مرة واحدة في العمر"، وأضاف: "لم أستطع أن أصدق عيني عندما شاهد ما جرى".
وتابع: "كنت نائما عندما حدث كل شيء. أبقي كاميرا قيد التشغيل في حديقتي الخلفية حيث يتم تشغيلها بواسطة أجهزة استشعار الحركة".
ومضى يقول: "عادة ما تسجل الكاميرا الطائرات والطيور وأشياء من هذا القبيل، لكن عندما شاهدت لقطات انفجار النيزك كنت ببساطة مذهولا، وكنت أقفز في الهواء من الفرح".
