كشف الناخب الوطني هيرفي رونار خلال الندوة الصحفية التي اعقبت لقاء المنتخب المغربي ومنتخب الكاميرون ان المباراة كانت صعبة للغاية، مؤكدا على ان العناصر الوطنية حاولت الهجوم منذ البداية لكن كان عليها الدفاع أيضا نظرا لقوة لاعبي الخصم في المرتدات.
وأضاف الثعلب الفرنسي ان اللاعبين سفيان بوفال وحكيم زياش خلقا الفارق خلال الشوط الثاني، وهو ما مكن المنتخب الوطني من التوقيع على هدفين وتحقيق الإنتصار الذي فك به عقدة المنتخب الكاميروني التي ظلت قائمة لحوالي 37 سنة.
فيما لم يخفي قائد الأسود الغير المروضة سيدروف ان اسود الأطلس كانوا الأفضل وهم الأحق بالإنتصار، حيث كشف ان ضربة الجزاء التي تحصل عليها المنتخب الوطني لعبت دور مهم في التأثير على نفسية لاعبيه، مؤكدا على ان المنتخب الكاميروني في طور البناء.
وعن احتجاجاته المستمرة على حكم اللقاء الغابوني، ذكر النجم الهولندي سيدروف ان الأمر طبيعي.
