وتلقت سلمى انتقادات واسعة من رواد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي الذين وصفوا آداءها بالمقزز والباعث للضحك والسخرية، حيث شبهوا أدائها بأنها تغني أحد أغاني تامر حسني العاطفية.
