أكد عدد من عمداء المدن الإفريقية ، المشاركين في أشغال الدورة الثامنة لقمة منظمة المدن والحكومات المحلية المتحدة الإفريقية “أفريسيتي 2018” ، التي انطلقت امس الثلاثاء في مراكش، على أن غياب الدعم المالي يشكل عقبة في مواجهة آثار التغيرات المناخية في العديد من المجالات الترابية بالقارة الافريقية.
تأكيد عمداء المدن جاء مشاركتهم في ورشة عمل في موضوع التخطيط لمستقبل المدن الإفريقية في إطار التغيرات المناخية.
وقال ريدور رفائيل، مساعد عمدة كونونو، " اٍن هذا المنتدى يناقش مواضيع مهمة، وتتعلق بكيفية تحول المدن لاافلؤقية، الى مدن مستدامة، ونحن نشكر الملك محمد السادس على دعمه الكبير لمجال التحول المناخي والطاقي للطقات المتجددة."
