أعلنت وزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية بأن مولانا أمير المؤمنين صاحب الجلالة الملك محمد السادس أعزه الله، قد تفضل فأمر بأن تفتح في وجه المصلين المساجد التي تم تشيدها أو أعيد بناؤها أو تم ترميمها من طرف وزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية، وعددها ثلاثة وأربعون (43) مسجدا.
وأوضح بلاغ للوزارة أن الأمر يتعلق بسبعة عشر (17) مسجدا تم تشييدها؛ وأربعة وعشرون (24) مسجدا تم ترميمها، من بينها مسجد الكتبية الذي تم إصلاح ما لحق به من الأضرار بسبب الزلزال.
كما يتعلق الأمر بمسجد محمد السادس بمدينة أبيدجان بجمهورية كوت ديفوار ومسجد محمد السادس بمدينة كوناكري بجمهورية غينيا. وتبلغ الطاقة الاستيعابية لمجموع هذه المساجد، حسب ذات المصدر، 25500 مصل ومصلية، وكلفتها الإجمالية 561,7 مليون درهم.
