عبرت لاعبة المنتخب الوطني المغربي للسيدات، نهيلة بنزينة، عن سعادتها كونها أول لاعبة عربية ترتدي الحجاب في نهائيات كأس العالم للسيدات.
وقالت نهيلة في تصريح للاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم: « أقول للمحجبات حافظوا على حجابكن، فالحجاب لا علاقة له بالرياضة ».
ويشار أن اللاعبة نهيلة بنزينة، قد شاركت في المباراة السابقة أمام منتخب كوريا الجنوبية، والتي انتهت نتيجتها لصالح لبؤات الأطلس بهدف دون مقابل، لتكون بذلك أول لاعبة محجبة يعتمد عليها في العرس العالمي النسوي.
