تمكّن بائع أسماك بريطاني من إنقاذ سرطان بحر "كركند" برتقالي نادر، وأعاد توطينه في حوض أسماك بلاكبول بإنجلترا.ووجد بائع الأسماك ستيف أتكينسون، "الكركند" البرتقالي النادر، والذي يأتي بهذا اللون الغريب بمعدل حالة بين 30 مليون، ضمن قفص صيد قادم من كندا، في سوق بلانكشاير.
ونقلت شبكة "سكاي نيوز" البريطانية عن أتكينسون قوله، إنه اتصل بمتحف الحياة البحرية في بلاكبول، والذي وافق على استقبال "الكركند".
ويعتبر اللون البرتقالي نادرا بالنسبة "للكركند" قبل طهيه، والذي عادة ما يكون بنيا أو رماديا، الأمر الذي يساعده على التخفي والتمويه.
