منظمة الصحة العالمية: وفيات كورونا قبل اللقاح قد تصل مليونين
قال مسؤول بمنظمة الصحة العالمية، الجمعة، إن عدد وفيات فيروس كورونا قد يصل إلى مليونين قبل استخدام لقاح ناجح على نطاق واسع، وإن العدد قد يصبح أكبر دون عمل منسق لكبح الوباء.
وقال مدير برنامج الطوارئ بالمنظمة مايك رايان في إفادة، الجمعة: "إذا لم نفعل ذلك فإن الرقم الذي تتحدثون عنه (نحو ملي1ني حالة وفاة) لن يكون متصورا فحسب، بل للأسف سيكون مرجحا بقوة".
وجاء تصريح رايان مع اقتراب عدد وفيات "كوفيد 19" بعد 9 أشهر من رصده في الصين، من مليون حالة بجميع أنحاء العالم.
