احتلت مدينة مراكش المرتبة 143 عالميا، مناصفة مع العاصمة الغانية أكرا، في تصنيف عالمي لأبرز وجهات الأعمال والمؤتمرات خلال سنة 2023، صادر عن التقرير السنوي الأخير للرابطة الدولية للاجتماعات والمؤتمرات (ICCA).
واعتبر التقرير أن المدينة الحمراء من المدن الأكثر شعبية لتنظيم المؤتمرات في إفريقيا والعالم، بحيث استضافت أكثر من خمسة عشر حدثا دوليا في السنة الماضية، كان من أهم تلك الاحداث الاجتماعات السنوية للبنك الدولي وصندوق النقد الدولي في الفترة من 9 إلى 15 أكتوبر 2023، بحضور نحو 14 ألف مشارك.
ونشرت الرابطة منتصف شهر ماي الجاري نسخة 2023 من تصنيفها العالمي لسياحة الأعمال، بناء على تقرير بعنوان « تصنيفات البلدان والمدن السنوية لسنة 2023″، تم أنجازه بعد دراسة البلدان والمدن حول العالم اعتمادا على الاجتماعات والأحداث الدولية الأخرى التي استضافتها في السنة الماضية.
