أعلنت وزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية أن أمير المؤمنين صاحب الملك محمد السادس، تفضل فأعطى توجيهاته السامية ببدء إعادة فتح المساجد المغلقة، تدريجيا وبتنسيق مع السلطات الصحية والإدارية، مشيرة إلى أنه سيُعلن لاحقا عن جدولة هذه العملية.
وأوضحت الوزارة في بلاغ لها أنها تؤكد بهذه المناسبة على أن أداء الصلوات وصلاة الجمعة في جميع المساجد سيظل مطابقا للاحترازات الضرورية لتفادي العدوى بالجائحة ولا سيما احترام التباعد وارتداء الكمامات؛ وأنه على المصلين والمصليات المجيء إلى المساجد على وضوء لأن بيوت الوضوء ستظل مغلقة.
