في صفعة قوية لميلشيا البوليساريو، قرر حزب إئتلاف Sumar اليساري الراديكالي سحب مشروع قانون من البرلمان الإسباني ينص على منح الجنسية الإسبانية للمواطنين المولودين بالصحراء المغربية أثناء الاستعمار الإسباني، مما يشكل دعمًا قويًا لموقف المغرب وصفعة للميلشيا البوليساريو.
تأتي هذه الخطوة بعد تغييرات في دينامية العلاقات بين المغرب وإسبانيا، وضغط العمال الاشتراكي الذي يقود الحكومة الإسبانية، بالتزامن مع اعتراف بيدرو سانشيز بمبادرة الحكم الذاتي في الصحراء المغربية، مما يعكس تحولًا في الأيديولوجيا اليسارية الإسبانية المتطرفة بعد اتخاذها موقفًا ضد مطالب الميلشيا الانفصالية.
