دراسة تكشف خطر استعمال « مصابيح مسرطنة » وأوربا تمنع استعمالها مع عدم حظر إنتاجها

كشفت أبحاث ودراسات بريطانية عن أن “المصابيح الفلورية” عند الكسر يخرج منها أبخرة زئبق سام، لو استنشقه الإنسان قد يترنح فورا ويختل توازنه ويصاب بصداع نصفي مزمن، وترتفع درجة الخطورة عند الأطفال والمسنين ذوي الحساسية إلي أزمات في التنفس تهدد حياتهم.
ووضعت وزارة الصحة البريطانية روشتة للتعامل مع اللمبات المحطمة, أول بند فيها عدم استخدام المكنسة الكهربائية في لملمة الحطام, حتي لا يتناثر الغبار الزئبقي في أرجاء المكان, وأنه يجب الانتظار15 دقيقة حتي يستقرالغبار علي الأرض قبل كنسه بفرشاة عادية ووضعه في لفافة مغلقة والتخلص منه خارج المنزل فورا.
هذا وسبق للاتحاد الأوروبي أن منع استعمال “المصابيح الفلورية” ابتداء من 2023 مع عدم حظر إنتاجها، وهو ما يطرح تساؤلات حول أماكن تسويق هذه المنتجات؛ إذ سيستمر في تصديرها خارج حدود القارة.
واعتمد الاتحاد ضمن قرار المنع على المعاهدة الدولية التي تم تبنيها عام 2013، والتي تؤكد ضرورة القضاء التدريجي على استخدام الزئبق، خاصة في المنتجات الاستهلاكية. وتعتبر منظمة الصحة العالمية “الزئبق فائق السمية”، وهو أحد المواد الكيميائية العشر التي تصنف “مقلقة للغاية”.
وحسب المنظمة، فإن “التعرض للزئبق حتى بجرعات منخفضة للغاية، يمكن أن تكون له عواقب وخيمة للغاية على الجهاز العصبي، وخاصة لدى الأطفال”.
وتحتوي المصابيح الفلورية على ما بين 3 و10 مليغرام من الزئبق الذي يمكن تسربه في حالة الكسر، وتكون إدارته معقدة للغاية.
