وجهت الجامعة العربية مذكرة إلى جميع المنظمات والهيئات المنضوية تحت لوائها، توصيها باعتماد خريطة موحدة في جميع التظاهرات التي تنظمها، مرفقة بصورة لخريطة الدول العربية، ضمت خريطة المغرب كاملة.
وعممت الجامعة العربية المذكرة على الهيئات والمنظمات التابعة لها وطالبت بالالتزام بفحواها.
هذا وتقدمت مندوبية الجزائر لدى الجامعة مؤخرا احتجاجا على نشر خريطة المغرب كاملة في إحدى الفعاليات التي عقدتها منظمة المرأة العربية بالقاهرة.
وبهذا الخصوص أكد الاجتماع الوزاري الأخير لوزراء الإسكان العرب الذي احتضنته العاصمة الأردنية عمان، على ضرورة احترام الجغرافيا وسيادة الدول والالتزام في كل التظاهرات المنظمة من قبل الهيئات والاتحادات والمنظمات التابعة لمجلس وزراء الاسكان العرب بنشر خريطة الوطن العربي كاملة غير مجزأة.
