وأكد جلالة الملك « إننا لنستحضر، بكل تقدير، مناقب فقيدكم العزيز، الذي كان مثالا للاقتدار والتفاني والإخلاص في النهوض بما أنيط به من مهام سامية سواء على المستوى الأكاديمي أو الحكومي أو الدبلوماسي، فضلا عن تمثيله لبلده خير تمثيل في ما تقلده من مناصب المسؤولية بعدد من الهيئات الإقليمية والدولية ».
وتابع جلالة الملك « وإذ نشاطركم مشاعركم في هذا المصاب الأليم الذي لا راد لقضاء الله فيه، لنسأله عز وجل أن يتلقى الراحل بجزيل إحسانه ويمطر عليه شآبيب رحمته وغفرانه، ويجزيه أحسن الجزاء على ما أسداه لوطنه من خدمات جليلة، وما قدمه بين يدي ربه من صالح الأعمال والمبرات ».
