وأجرى الجانبان عدة جولات من المحادثات بين مسؤولين عسكريين ودبلوماسيين، لكن المواجهة ظلت قائمة.
وأشاد قادة الحزب الحاكم في الهند بحظر التطبيقات كوسيلة للتصدي للنفوذ المتنامي للصين، خاصة وأن التطبيقات المملوكة للصين تجد طريقها للانتشار سريعا في السوق الهندية.
