يحتضن ملعب مراكش الكبير، خلال التوقف الدولي لشهر مارس الجاري، مباراة عن الدور التمهيدي لتصفيات كأس أمم إفريقيا لكرة القدم، المقرر تنظيمها في المغرب سنة 2025، وذلك في إطار الشراكة بين الجامعة الملكية المغربية لكرة القدم والاتحادات الافريقية للعبة.
وسيكون الملعب الكبير لمدينة مراكش مسرحا لمباراة الذهاب بين منتخبي جيبوتي وليبيريا، يوم 20 مارس الحالي، على أن تقام مباراة الإياب بينهما يوم 26 من الشهر ذاته.
ويشار أن منتخبات الصومال وساوتومي وجنوب السودان، اختارت بدورها لعب مبارياتها في المغرب، بحيث سيستقبل المنتخب الصومالي نظيره إسواتيني في ملعب العبدي بالجديدة، وستلتقي ساوتومي مع جنوب السودان، ذهابا وإيابا، في الملعب البلدي لمدينة بركان.
