حقق المنتخب المغربي لكرة القدم داخل الصالات انجازا تاريخيا، بعد ضمانه بطاقة التأهل إلى ربع نهائي مونديال الفوتصال، الذي تحتضنه ليتوانيا حاليا.
وجاء هذا الانجاز عقب الفوز على منتخب فينزويلا في الدور ثمن النهائي بثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدفين، في المباراة التي احتضنتها صالة زالغيريو أرينا في كوناس، حيث سجل الأهداف الثلاثة للمنتخب المغربي اللاعب سفيان المسرار، بواقع هدفين في الشوط الأول وهدف في الشوط الثاني.
وسيواجه أسود القاعة في دور ربع النهائي، الفائز من مباراة البرازيل وخصمه الياباني، التي ستلعب يوم غد الجمعة.
