ونشر بعض رواد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي في صفحات عبر الفيسبوك مناهضة لظاهرة حراس السيارات في الأماكن العمومية، صورا توضح تواجد بعض الأشخاص يرتدون سترات صفراء وسط الموقف الخاص بباحة الاستراحة المذكورة، على الرغم أن المكان تابع للشركة ومعروف أنه بالمجان.
وقد أكدوا أن هؤلاء الأشخاص يعمدون إلى ابتزاز أصحاب السيارات من أجل منحهم المال مقابل ركن عرباتهم في الموقف التابع لباحة الاستراحة، وهو ما اعتبروه وضعا غير مقبول ويتطلب تدخل إدارة شركة الطرق السيارة والسلطات المحلية.
