أحبط نوفاك جوكوفيتش المصنف الأول عالميا انتفاضة اليوناني صاحب الضربات القوية ستيفانوس تيتيباس، بالفوز عليه 6-3 و6-2 و5-7 و4-6 و6-1، في مباراة مثيرة، الجمعة، ليصعد لنهائي بطولة "رولان غاروس" للتنس.
وسيلتقي اللاعب الصربي الإسباني رافائيل نادال الفائز باللقب 12 مرة، في مواجهة أخرى يترقبها عشاق اللعبة، الأحد، حيث يسعى نادال أيضا لمعادلة رقم روجر فيدرر القياسي البالغ 20 لقبا في الفردي بالبطولات الأربع الكبرى.
وقال جوكوفيتش في مقابلة بالملعب: "نادال المرشح الأبرز هنا. رولان غاروس مملكته مع كل الألقاب التي فاز بها، لكني فزت عليه هنا في دور الثمانية في 2015".
وتابع: "أتمنى تكرار هذا الأمر، لكن يتعين أن أكون في أفضل حالاتي. ربما يكون من أصعب التحديات في عالم التنس مقابلة نادال في رولان غاروس. أتطلع لهذه المباراة وأنا سعيد جدا ببلوغ النهائي ومتحمس للفوز".
ولاحت أمام جوكوفيتش، الذي فاز بلقب "رولان غاروس" عام 2016 ضمن ألقابه الـ17 الكبرى، نقطة لحسم المباراة في المجموعة الثالثة، لكن تيتيباس البالغ من العمر 22 عاما انتفض بشكل رائع ليعادل نتيجة المباراة بمجموعتين لمثلهما.
وخارت قوى تيتيباس المصنف الخامس في المجموعة الحاسمة، لكنه أنقذ نقطة أخرى لخسارة المباراة قبل أن يحسم جوكوفيتش البالغ من العمر 33 عاما الانتصار بعد 3 ساعات و54 دقيقة من اللعب على ملعب "فيليب شاترييه".
وصعد اللاعب الصربي إلى نهائي بطولة كبرى للمرة 27 في مسيرته، حيث سيلتقي نادال للمرة التاسعة في نهائي بطولة كبرى و56 إجمالا.
وحال انتصاره سيحصل على لقبه 18 في البطولات الأربع الكبرى، بينما سيعادل نادال حال فوزه رقم فيدرر القياسي.
